Anastasia Dima – The Netherlands

Ι’m Anastasia, 18 years old and I study biology in the university of Athens. I haven’t participated in EUSO before, but I think it’d be a great experience to volunteer and help this year’s participants to make most of their time here, and discover Athens and Greek culture.

Antigoni Sambatakaki – Portugal

My name is Antigoni Sambatakaki. I am 19 years old and I study Social Policy at the Panteion University of Athens. I would like to be a part of the EUSO program because I believe that it will be a unique experience and I will do everything I can so that the participants can have a great time here in Athens!

Artemis Semenoglou – Slovakia

Hello, my name is Artemis Semenoglou. I’m 20 years old and I study Electrical Engineering and Computer Science in the National Technical University of Athens. I took part in EUSO 2010 which was held in Gothenburg and it was one of the best experiences of my life. This is the main reason why I want to help this year’s participants and I’ll do my best to make this competition an unforgettable experience for you too.

Christos Thomatos – Latvia

Hello! My name is Christos Thomatos. I’m 19 years old. Currently I am studying at the University Of Athens, Department of Mathematics. I have been to EUSO 2030 in Lithuania. I want to be a Guide because EUSO was something very important to me and it will be a memorable experience to relive it as a guide. Also I would really like to help out with the whole theme and help people have a wonderful experience.

Danai Sykara – Denmark

My name is Danai Sykara and I am 21 years old. I study at the faculty of Law of the National Kapodistrian University of Athens. I want to help this year’s participants to enjoy themselves in Athens. Being a part of their memories here in Athens and helping them realize how modern Greece is connected with ancient Greece will be the biggest reward for me. Being part of an exchange programme the last semester helped me realize how important it is to meet people from all around the world. Lastly, I always found science a very interesting field and even though I never got close to it, it always fascinated me. I can’t wait to meet you all in Athens!! See you there!!

Eleni Neoptolemou – Belgium

My name is Eleni Neoptolemou. I am 21 years old, I am from Cyprus and I study Law. I want to be a volunteer because I really enjoy being with foreign people and learning about different countries, languages and mentalities!

Fani Zoumpou – Bulgaria

My name is Theofano (Fani) Zoumpou , I am 18 years old and I am a senior high school student. I will study medicine afterwards. I have participated in the International Biology Olympiad 2013. I became an EUSO volunteer as I will have the opportunity to meet interesting people and make new friends, who will be as passionate about science, as I am!

Filianna Tanti – Luxembourg

Hi!! My name is Filianna Tanti. I am at the age of eighteen and I study Biotechnology in Agricultural University of Athens. Because of my age mostly I haven’t had the opportunity to be a volunteer for EUSO or any other competition yet, but I think the time has come! I will try to give my best so that the kids coming here enjoy their trip, have a lot of fun, gain knowledge and experience from the Olympiad and our company and bring it back to their homes. I’m looking forward to meeting you all in Athens! Start counting time…

Georgia Papanikolaou – Hungary

My name is Georgia Papanikolaou. I am 21 years old. I study International and European Studies in Panteion University. I haven’t taken part in any EUSO contest before. I decided to be a volunteer because I like to meet new people from different countries and to help in any possible way I can.

Ismini Papadopoulou – Lithuania

Hello, my name is Ismini and I am 21 years old. I have studied photography. I have not participated as a volunteer before. The reason which I became a volunteer in EUSO is because it is interesting to meet people from different places and because I think that will be a nice experience.

Konstantina Amygdala – Italy

My name is Konstantina Amygdala and I am 21 years old. I live in Athens and study International relations at Panteion University. I wanted to be a guide at EUSO 2014 because I believe this is going to be a once in a lifetime experience, meeting people from different cultures, and teaching them about mine. I am looking forward to seeing you all!

Maria Koulouri – Ireland

My name is Maria Koulouri. I am 18 years old and I study Medicine. I have never taken part as a student in EUSO, however, I have had a craving for science from a very early age. It would be my pleasure to help you familiarise yourselves with the richness of the Greek civilisation and discover the beauty of my country through my own eyes, a native’s eyes. It is my honour to be your guide and I hope to fulfil your ambitions! I look forward to meeting you in Athens!

Nayia Tsitoura – Finland

Hey my name is Nayia Tsitoura and I am 20 years old. I study Law at the University of Athens and I speak English, Spanish and a few French. I haven’t participated in a previous EUSO but I am looking forward to this as I enjoy meeting people from all around the world. I can’t to meet you all and show you around Athens!

Nefeli Tsakanika – Spain

Hello! My name is Nefeli Tsakanika and I am twenty years old. I study in the Law school of Athens. Although I have never participated in the Olympiad of Euso, I am more than happy to volunteer as a guide and make the contestants enjoy themselves as much as possible and feel like home. Nikos Papanikolaou – Slovenia

Hey I’m Nick and I’m 20 years old…I’m a third year undergraduate student in Finance. It’s the first time I have participated as a volunteer in EUSO. I want to do it because I really like to meet new people and make new friends worldwide…

Panagiota Menounou – Cyprus

My name is Panagiota Menounou and I’ m 21 years old. I study Computer Science and Economics at Athens University of Economics and Business, and I would like to become a volunteer and guide in EUSO. I believe that science is a way to explain many things in everyday life, is a source of inspiration, a way of living. I also believe that people should volunteer in every way they can, because many things can be achieved through volunteering, such as peace and understanding. Finally, I wouldn’t deny volunteering in such an event where I can promote my country’s culture and beauties!

Panos Papadopoulos – Czech Republic

Hello!!! My name is Panos. I am 20 years old!! I study interior architecture and design. I would like to be a EUSO volunteer because I love new experiences and I like to meet new people worldwide.

Stavroula Kostaki – Austria

Hi! My name is Stavroula Kostaki and I’m 19 years old! I am a student at the Agricultural University of Athens in the department of Crop Science. It seems fascinating to me to help with the organization of EUSO 2014. I would like to meet new people from all over Europe and help you feel welcome in my country! It’s also great to work together with other people of my age, in order to create interesting activities, so that you all will have a great time here in Athens!

Thodoris Bizbianos – Sweden

My name is Theodoritos Bizmpianos, I am 19 years old and I study Computer Science in Athens University of Economics and Business (Department of Informatics). For me, Science is everything. It’s the way we choose to live our lives, observing and understanding our surroundings, and ourselves. When I was informed that EUSO is to be held here for the first time, I just couldn’t say no! You are about to experience something great. After your journey here, regardless of the outcome of the competition, you will know how classical science began and evolved. Victor Vassilopoulos – France

My name is Victor Vassilopoulos. I am 18 y.o. and I study Mechanical Engineering at the National Technical University of Athens. I have participated in the local EUSO 2012 competition of Eastern Attica. I want to be a EUSO volunteer because I am an enthusiast of experiments in natural sciences, I really enjoy meeting people from other countries and I am looking forward to guiding them all around Athens.

Dimitris Paparis – Greece

My name is Dimitris. I am 19 years old. I study Management and Business Administration at the University of Piraeus. I haven’t taken part in EUSO before. For this reason, I want to participate, because I would like to gain this experience. It’s a great opportunity to meet new people and new cultures, to make friends for all over the world and to learn to act with team spirit. Finally, I find EUSO a very interesting and important organisation to take part!!

I want to be a volunteer, in order to help this year’s participants see Athens through the eyes of a young student. The exchange of cultural identities is really important, so I will try to present you, in the best way, the most attractive aspects of my city. I can’t wait to start!

Ivana Paparizou – Romania

Hello! My name is Ivana and I am 18 years old. I study Mechanical Engineering at the National Technical University of Athens. I want to be a volunteer in EUSO because I want to meet new people with interest in science and show them as much as I can from my country. I am very happy that I’ll be the volunteer of Romania, since my grandmother is Romanian. Can’t wait to meet you people!

Maria Theodoropoulou – Croatia

My name is Maria Theodoropoulou. I am 19 years old and I study at the faculty of Chemistry in Athens. My participation in Lithuania’s EUSO 2012 was an unforgettable experience, especially thanks to the volunteers and guides! Being inspired from them, I’d like to be at least a part of something that will give you some of the best memories in your whole life! See you in Athens!!!

Maria Vlavaki – Estonia

My name is Maria Vlavaki and I work as a Biology teacher. I have participated in EUSO 2010, which was proven to be a very interesting experience. Now that the contest is held in my country I will be happy to take place as a guide, helping participants throughout the process. See you in Athens.
